Let's Grow Together

At The Chapel we are all about Jesus, and the Bible is God’s revelation to us about life in Jesus and with Jesus. We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of Old and New Testament, is the infallible Word of God, verbally inspired by God and without error in the original manuscripts. We believe that God’s intentions revealed in the Bible are the supreme and final authority about what is true and right. In matters not addressed by the Bible, what is true and right is determined by criteria consistent with the teaching of scripture.

In an effort to help you understand and grow in the Bible we have compiled tools and recommendations to help your journey through God’s word.

Bible Translations

We recommend two translations for different reasons. Keep in mind that both of these translations are available for free using most Bible apps (see below).

At The Chapel we primarily use the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible because of its emphasis on word-for-word translation. (This means translators sought to use the best English word that captures the essence of each word in the original language.) Below are links for those of you who prefer physical Bibles.

If you are new to Bible reading or Christianity, you may find it easier to use the New Living Translation (NLT). The NLT is a thought-for-thought translation that attempts to translate the essence of a passage to produce an accurate text for the modern reader.

Discipleship Bible Studies

Below are a few Bible Studies that are recommended no matter where you are in your walk.  The YouVersion bible app also has studies available within the app.
